Ultra Tune is a car service franchise which commenced operations in 1979 with a pilot outlet in Box Hill, Melbourne. It expanded rapidly and in 1982 the founder of the Company split the business into State organizations; (South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland) which were purchased by local groups of franchisee's in each State. Within the Victorian service centers Ultratune and Southern Cross Metal Recycler's have formed a synergy and have implemented a recycling program involving the recycling of all metallic components as the result of this vehicle service industry.
