Bahnmetall
"Railway Metal" A soft bearing metal used in the German state railways. Approximate composition: sodium .58 - .62%, calcium .69 - .73%, lithium .04% with the remainder lead. It has a Brinell hardness of about 34, and a compressive strength of between 25,000 and 30,000 lb per square inch.
