Caesium
Caesium is a silvery white, ductile metal, which is soft enough to be cut with a knife, like cheese. It is the most electro-positive of metals. Exposed to air, it rapidly becomes covered with a film of oxide, and hence must be preserved below the surface of oil. Like sodium and potassium, it energetically decomposes water with the evolution of hydrogen gas and the production of caesium hydroxide. It placed in an atmosphere of dry oxygen, caesium will spontaneously take fire.
