Gilding Metal
An alloy of copper and zinc containing from 80% to 95% of copper. Is used on account of its attractive golden color in cheap jewelry and for certain decorative applications. Wire made from this alloy has a considerable tensile strength ranging from 18 tones per square inch (annealed) to 40 tones per square inch (hard drawn)
