Graphited Bearing Metals
Bearing metals in which graphite has, by one means or another, been incorporated in order to decrease the friction of the bearing. In some of these "composite" metals, the metal is impregnated into the graphite under pressure, in others, a layer of metal is electrolytically deposited upon a layer of graphite, and, this process being repeated, a laminated metal is built up.
