Inconel
An alloy containing nickel 80%, chromium 14% and iron 6%. Is particularly resistant to brine, salt solutions and food acids, and is now being used for the making of food-processing equipment. It also has a high degree of heat-resistance and it is employed for the manufacture of electrical heating equipment.
