Palladium
Palladium is a greyish-white metal which is fairly ductile and malleable. It is softer than platinum and has a lower melting point than platinum. Although scarcer than platinum, it is commercially cheaper because it is not in such great demand. Alloyed with gold, palladium whitens the metal, several of the "white golds" being of gold-palladium alloys. Palladium also alloys with lead, tin, nickel, copper, antimony and bismuth.
