Ruthenium
Ruthenium occurs in the metallic state alloyed with platinum and its related metals. Is always a constituent of osmiridium. Ruthenium is a white, lustrous metal. It is hard but brittle. The metal is that mass is insoluble in all acids, but dissolves in hot aqua regia (mixture of nitric and hydrochloric acids) when in the powdery form. Ruthenium alloys with all the platinum metals.
