Y Alloy
Y alloy is a good all-round material. It may be had in both cast and wrought forms. It is capable of considerable heat treatment.
Typical composition: Copper 4%, nickel 2%, magnesium 1.5%, iron .6%, silicon .6% with the remainder being aluminium.
