Zeppelin Alloy
Analysis of the aluminium alloys derived from Zeppelins wrecked during the 1914 - 1918 war gave the following average results: aluminium 90.27%, zinc 7.80%, iron .45%, silicon .37%, copper .72%, tin .11%, manganese .27%. In some instances there were found to be traces of nickel.
